LUX ELVAS 2024 (2ª edição)
LUX ELVAS _2ª edição comemora Elvas Património Mundial UNESCO com obras de arte digital projetadas em grande escala.
Nesta segunda edição apresentamos SPECTRA, uma obra com técnica de videomapping da artista Veruscka Gírio (Astronauta Mecanico).
SPECTRA é um mergulho sensorial na experiência humana para lá das muralhas de Elvas. As tradições valorizam a harmonia entre os mundos material e espiritual e esta perfeita sintonia é o que transborda em Elvas: uma cidade que transcende a sua história militar para lançar uma narrativa que celebra a luz, o património e a riqueza cultural do concelho. Uma travessia de luz e som que revela a geografia afetiva onde a força do vento sopra novos mundos e a água evoca memórias que nos conectam ao passado. A água e o ar fundem-se com a terra e o fogo, revelando Elvas e criando um palco onde a sua essência surge como protagonista, expandindo a realidade, o invisível, e convidando a um diálogo e reflexão quando as fronteiras desaparecem e a liberdade é celebrada em futuros possíveis.

LUX ELVAS celebrates Elvas as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with large-scale projected digital artworks. In this second edition we’re presenting SPECTRA, a video-mapping work by the artist Veruscka Gírio (Astronauta Mecanico).
SPECTRA is a sensory dive into the human experience beyond the walls of Elvas. The traditions the harmony between the material and spiritual worlds and this perfect harmony is what overflows in Elvas: a city that transcends its military history to launch a narrative that celebrates the light, heritage and cultural richness of the municipality. A journey of light and sound that reveals the affective geography where the force of the wind blows new worlds and water evokes memories that connect us to the past. Water and air merge with earth and fire, revealing Elvas and creating a stage where its essence appears as the protagonist, expanding reality, the invisible, and inviting dialogue and when borders disappear and freedom is celebrated in possible futures.
